Season two of SkyShowtime Original Por H o por B set to premiere on 26 May, as first look imagery is revealed
The second season of Por H o por B features eight 30-minute episodes that follow the new adventures of its protagonists, Hache and Belén, and gives viewers an opportunity to discover their unique universe
SkyShowtime has announced that season two of Por H o por B will premiere on 26 May. The first three episodes of season one are now available to stream exclusively on SkyShowtime, with new episodes available weekly. The series has been created, written and directed by Manuela Burló Moreno and produced by Globomedia (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) and LACOproductora and with Javier Pons and Jorge Pezzi and as executive producers, respectively.
In the second season the two friends continue living in Malasaña, although now things are different. The neighborhood has not ceased to serve as a theme park for crazy trends, but the girls have already found their place there without sacrificing their authenticity. They have accepted the madness of the district and it seems that, in return, the neighborhood has accepted them. Hache has a new job, in a nail salon, and Belén continues to pursue her dream of becoming an actress while working on what she can. Their lives evolve as quickly as the neighborhood and soon they will have to rethink everything.
Based on the characters created by Manuela Burló Moreno for the short film Pipas (2013), nominated for the Goya Awards and awarded with multiple awards, Por H o por B is not just another sitcom. The series talks about unconditional friendship, adaptation and the feeling of belonging to a place.
The second season of Por H o por B is made up of eight 30-minute episodes filmed between Madrid and Benidorm. Marta Martín and Saida Benzal once again take on the roles of Hache and Belén, respectively, who they have incarnated since Pipas, contributing to their evolution over the past ten years following the premiere of the short film. Alongside them, returning cast members include Itziar Castro, Brays Efe, Diego Castillo and Javier Bódalo. In addition, this season will welcome new cast members Guillermo Montesinos, Jason Fernández, Marta Aledo and Mariona Terrés. The series also features several cameos by actor Pablo Puyol and TV reporter Torito.
Creator and director of Por H o por B Manuela Burló Moreno said: "With this second season, Belén and Hache culminate a decade long journey, which began with Pipas, during which their characters have matured, but they have not lost their references or their friendship, which is actually the driving force behind the plot of the series. This is a comedy with overtones of airs and graces, but at the same time very universal. Trendy neighborhoods filled with outsiders wanting to look cool are everywhere in the world. The difference here is in the tone and in the situations, always from the subtle perspective and fleeing from the flamboyant over-dramatic.”
