SkyShowtime hosts exclusive premiere for Original series Warszawianka starring Borys Szyc and other Polish celebrities
SkyShowtime - Europe’s next great streaming service – hosted the official premiere of Warszawianka in Warsaw last night, the first original Polish production for SkyShowtime.
The cast of the series appeared on the red carpet, including Borys Szyc, Krystyna Janda, Ilona Ostrowska, as well as the director Jacek Borcuch and screenwriter Jakub Żulczyk. Influencer stars including Karol Paciorek, Karol Paciorek, Kamil Szymczak, Adrianna Krysian, Izabela Zabielska and well-known faces from the world of culture and entertainment Aleksandra Domańska, Marta Malikowska, Martin Stankiewicz and Justyna Kopińska also attended.
Hosted by renowned journalist Agnieszka Szydłowska, the exclusive event was opened by SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan.
Jacek Borcuch (director), Jakub Żulczyk (screenwriter), Izabela Łopuch (producer) and Borys Szyc (leading role) took to the stage treating the audience to an exclusive Q&A where they talked about the inspiration for the series as well as some behind-the-scenes stories.
The audience were also given a taster of some of the amazing series and epic movies available on SkyShowtime this year.

Warszawianka is a fictional drama series that follows the tragicomic adventures of 40-year-old playboy Franek Czułkowski (aka “Czuły”), brilliantly portrayed by leading Polish actor Borys Szyc. Czuły is a deeply complex character—a talented writer who has experienced success and failure and now finds himself trapped between his personal struggles and societal expectations. The show follows his adventures as he struggles to grasp the meaning of his own existence in the modern world.
SkyShowtime Original series Warszawianka was directed by Jacek Borcuch, based on a script by Jakub Żulczyk. The cinematographer is Piotr Uznanski. The main character of the series was played by Borys Szyc. The other roles were played by Krystyna Janda, Jerzy Skolimowski, Ilona Ostrowska, Piotr Polak, Jadwiga Jankowska-Cieślak, Zofia Wichłacz, Paulina Galązka, Jan Peszek, Maja Pankiewicz, Marianna Zydek, Jakub Wieczorek, Marta Ścisłowicz, Tomasz Włosok, Marcin Januszkiewicz and Milena Goździela.
The series was produced in Poland with financial support under the Act on Financial Support for Audiovisual Production, granted by the Polish Film Institute from funds of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
