In The Envoys (Los Enviados) S2, priests Pedro Salinas (Luis Gerardo Méndez) and Simón Antequera (Miguel Ángel Silvestre) travel to Porto da Lúa, a small fishing village located in Galicia, to determine the veracity of a new miracle. In the convent of the village, where three blind nuns live, one of them, Sister Corina, has had a revealing vision: Xiana, a girl who disappeared shortly after her birth 18 years ago, is alive and in good health in Canada. After the intervention of the governments of Spain and Canada, it is corroborated that the girl is there and almost two decades after her abduction, the young girl returns to meet her parents and her true origins.
Priests Salinas and Antequera will have to determine whether the nun's vision is due to divine intervention. For this they collaborate with Sister Emilia, who is now fully integrated into their team. However, shortly after arriving at the village, a bloody crime takes place, and the envoys find themselves involved in a double investigation: one of a mystical-religious nature and the other much earthlier.
The Envoys (Los Enviados) S1 won Gold for Best Drama and Silver for Best Screenplay at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, one of the industry's most prestigious international awards. This second season was filmed in the Galician towns of A Guarda, Nigrán, Forcarei, Tui, Oia, Pontevedra, and Santiago de Compostela.
