Production begins on Shades (Matices), the new SkyShowtime Original Series, in collaboration with Secouya Studios and Stellarmedia

The series stars Maxi Iglesias, Enrique Arce, Hovik Keuchkerian, Juana Acosta, Fariba Sheikhan, Miriam Giovanelli, Eusebio Poncela, Raúl Prieto, Luis Tosar and Elsa Pataky

Today, SkyShowtime announced that production is underway for Shades (Matices). The upcoming SkyShowtime Original series is the second locally commissioned original in Spain.

This psychological thriller will be shot in Zamora, Madrid and the Canary Islands, and features an all star cast including: Maxi Iglesias (Valeria), Enrique Arce (Money Heist), Hovik Keuchkerian (Reina Roja), Juana Acosta (La templanza), Fariba Sheikhan (The Unit), Miriam Giovanelli (Nacho), Eusebio Poncela (Merlí. Sapere aude), Raúl Prieto (The Snow Girl), Luis Tosar (Cell 211) and Elsa Pataky (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga).

Shades (Matices) tells the story of a renowned and charismatic psychiatrist who gathers six of his patients together at a remote winery to complete their treatment with his famous method, which has achieved a very high cure rate among the most complex and difficult-to-manage patients. After an unusual ceremonial tasting, an unexpected turn of events occurs with a fateful ending. Following the arrival of an intuitive police lieutenant who takes over the case, the truth is uncovered about the patients’ traumas.

Shades (Matices), the result of a collaboration between Secuoya Studios and Stellarmedia and in association with SkyShowtime, is directed by Sergio Cánovas, who also serves as creator and executive producer along with Javier Naya, Alex Meriweather and María García-Castrillón.
