SkyShowtime Original series Mamen Mayo will premiere exclusively on the service on 18 November

The series, starring Sílvia Abril, is a comedy that follows inheritance mediator Mamen Mayo

Today, SkyShowtime has announced that SkyShowtime Original series Mamen Mayo will premiere exclusively on 18 November with all eight episodes available to stream from launch.  Mamen Mayo is the service’s first locally commissioned original programming project in Spain.

Starring Sílvia Abril (Alimañas), along with Pablo Capuz (Merlí. Sapere Aude), Mona Martínez (La novia gitana), and Clara Sans (Cardo), the Mamen Mayo series combines comedy with family “drama”. Each episode will follow inheritance mediator Mamen Mayo and her team as she attempts to resolve the conflicts of interest within families entangled in inheritance disputes.

Sílvia Abril plays Mamen Mayo, who leads the team of ‘Mediaciones Mayo’. Mamen is an inheritance mediator with extraordinary emotional intelligence and a unique ability to read people. The daughter of a prestigious lawyer and sister to a renowned divorce lawyer who inherited the family firm, Mamen studied psychology and has made a career out of resolving conflicts. Witty, eloquent and with an elegant presence, Mamen is now at the pinnacle of her career and a seminal moment in her life.

Pablo Capuz plays David Faura, Mamen's assistant in the office. David is the son of the owner of the law firm that has its offices upstairs. Although he thinks he coordinates and manages everything related to contracts and legal matters at Mediaciones Mayo, he is far from being the law shark he thinks he is. David is sensitive, human and a little out of place.

Mona Martínez plays Sebastiana, an appraiser specializing in all types of properties. In the world of inheritance, objectivity and the value of things are always important, and there is no one better than Sebastiana to dictate how much each property is worth. Sebastiana is very reserved and a little disconnected from personal relationships, but she has a long history that links her to Mamen.

Clara Sans plays Clara Codina, a young lawyer who works for David's father's law firm upstairs. She was top of her class at University and considered the greatest promise of her generation by her professors, though she still managed to enjoy herself. One after the other Clara has achieved all her goals and now her day-to-day life is focused only on working at the law firm. Soon she will ask herself if everything she has fought for over the years is exactly what she wanted?

Mamen Mayo also stars Oscar de la Fuente, Francisco Reyes, Javier Pereira, and Toni Acosta who plays Rebeca Mayo, Mamen's sister.

The series is an eight-part comedy comprising of 30-minute episodes and is produced by Nostromo Pictures in association with SkyShowtime. Mamen Mayo has been created by Eduard Sola, who also serves as showrunner alongside Miguel Ángel Faura.
