The new Polish SkyShowtime original production, set in the Podhale region, will feature Maria Dębska, Maciej Musiał, and Piotr Pacek in lead roles

SkyShowtime today revealed the premiere date, along with key art and character art for its latest Polish Original series Śleboda. The first two episodes of the six-part series will debut on SkyShowtime on December 12, with subsequent episodes airing weekly. Śleboda is a suspenseful crime story that will take viewers to the picturesque Podhale region of Poland. The characters' fates will become intertwined in a mountain mystery, which will be revealed when the show premieres this December.
The series revolves around a young anthropology doctor from Cracow (Dębska) who flees to the mountains seeking self-discovery, only to stumble upon a dead body. She quickly becomes entangled in solving a murder mystery and finds herself crossing paths with Sebastian (Musiał), a shameless journalist on the hunt for a scoop, and Jędrek (Pacek), a local police officer, who she shared a teenage romance with.
The lead roles in SkyShowtime Original series Śleboda will be played by Maria Debska, Maciej Musiał and Piotr Pacek. Further cast include: Joanna Balasz, Andrzej Chyra, Kuba Dyniewicz, Helena Englert, Jan Englert, Tomasz Karolak, Artur Krajewski, Mateusz Janicki, Mateusz Kmiecik, Magdalena Lamparska, Leszek Lichota, Anna Nehrebecka, Józef Pawłowski and Andrzej Zielinski.
Śleboda is the first locally commissioned original programming project from SkyShowtime in Poland. The series is an adaptation of the first instalment of the critically acclaimed series of crime novels written by Małgorzata Fugiel-Kuźmińska and Michał Kuźmiński. The production is directed by Michał Gazda and Bartosz Blaschke, with Tomasz Augustynek serving as the Director of Cinematography. Magdalena Szwedkowicz also serves as Producer on the series.
Filmed in the Republic of Poland with support provided through the Act on Financial Support for Audio-visual Production by the Polish Film Institute and funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
