SkyShowtime has announced the launch date of its latest SkyShowtime Original series, Shades (Matices).The first three episodes will premiere on Thursday 5 June, with weekly episodes to follow.

 

This psychological thriller stars Maxi Iglesias (Punto Nemo), Enrique Arce (La casa de papel), Hovik Keuchkerian (Reina Roja), Juana Acosta (La templanza), Fariba Sheikhan (La unidad), Miriam Giovanelli (Nacho), Eusebio Poncela (Merlí. Sapere aude), Raúl Prieto (La chica de nieve), Luis Tosar (La Infiltrada) and Elsa Pataky (Furiosa: from the Mad Max saga).

 

Shades (Matices) tells the story of a renowned and charismatic psychiatrist who gathers six of his patients together at a remote winery to complete their treatment with his famous method, which has achieved a very high cure rate among the most complex and difficult-to-manage patients. After an unusual ceremonial tasting, an unexpected turn of events occurs with a fateful ending. Following the arrival of an astute police inspector who takes over the case, the truth is uncovered about the doctor and his patients’ traumas.

The eight-part series is produced by Secuoya Studios and Stellarmedia in association with SkyShowtime. An original idea by Javier Naya, Alex Meriweather and Sergio Cánovas, directed and executive produced by him along with María García-Castrillón.
