The A-list cast, director and creative team celebrated the launch of the new six-part thriller at an exclusive Warsaw event

SkyShowtime last night hosted an exclusive world premiere showcasing the first two episodes of the six-part Polish Original series Langer in Warsaw. Both episodes of the hotly anticipated thriller will debut on the service in Poland on 22 May, with new episodes available weekly. The full series will launch in all remaining SkyShowtime markets on 11 July.
Actors Jakub Gierszał, who plays the title role of Piotr Langer, Julia Pietrucha, Piotr Adamczyk and Magdalena Boczarska all walked the red carpet, alongside best-selling author Remigiusz Mróz. They were joined by director Łukasz Palkowski, producer Violetta Furmaniuk-Zaorska and screenwriters Katarzyna Górtat-Rzepka and Piotr Rzepka, together with an array of high-profile names from the world of entertainment.
The stylish event, hosted by renowned film critic Artur Zaborski, took place at the atmospheric venue Chłodna Kręgliccy, hidden in the heart of Warsaw, and included an on-stage Q&A with the cast, introduced by SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan and Senior Regional Content Director Edyta Pytlewska-Mele.
Langer is the latest SkyShowtime Original series produced in Poland and is an adaptation of the popular novel by Mróz, one of the country’s most widely read authors. It tells the story of Piotr Langer, a young and dashing businessman who inherited a financial holding company from his tragically deceased father. In his spare time, Piotr indulges in his longtime passion - he is an elusive serial killer who has been pursued unsuccessfully by prosecutors for years.

Soon after, she becomes involved in a dangerous game and a relationship with Langer, which doesn't make it any easier for her to uncover evidence that he is a serial killer. Will justice prevail this time...?
It is an adaptation of a popular novel by Remigiusz Mróz, one of Poland's most widely read authors. The series is produced by Violetta Furmaniuk-Zaorska (The Behaviorist, The Disappearance) and directed by Łukasz Palkowski (Bogowie, The Disappearance). Katarzyna Górtat-Rzepka (Archivist, Overheard Murder) and Piotr Rzepka (Archivist, Wilderness) are responsible for the screenplay. The cinematographer is Marian Prokop; music is composed by Bartosz Chajdecki.
