Krychowiak: One Step from the Top explores the headline-grabbing real life behind one of Poland’s most famous personalities - Grzegorz Krychowiak
SkyShowtime today announced its first Polish Original documentary production - Krychowiak: One Step from the Top - revealing the extraordinary life of one of the country’s most high-profile sport talents Grzegorz Krychowiak, known also for his entrepreneurial skills and passion for lifestyle, launching exclusively on the streaming service later this year.
Unveiled during a paired keynote event at Content Warsaw, SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan and Senior Regional Content Director, Central and Eastern Europe, Edyta Pytlewska-Mele, revealed the new title, which will explore the rise to fame and enduring appeal of the premier league footballer.
Not a documentary about football, Krychowiak: One Step from the Top instead offers raw, uncensored entertainment that allows viewers to dive into the world of Krychowiak and his wife, French model and bodybuilder Celia Jaunat. Known for his sense of humour and passion for fashion, the star has also made over 100 appearances for the Polish national team. However, his football career was just one of many dreams he has boldly pursued - never looking back and living life to the fullest. In the documentary, focused on his life with Jaunat, the camera does its best to keep up as Krychowiak continues to chase new professional and personal goals.
Speaking about the streamer’s latest Polish commission SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan said: “In the two years since SkyShowtime launched, we have seen how audiences continue to be captivated by local stories. From scripted dramas such as Śleboda, Langer, and Glina which is currently in production, to documentaries, SkyShowtime is committed to being the home for unmissable original stories—a place for both storytellers and story lovers.”
