SkyShowtime today revealed the key art and premiere date for its latest Polish original, a two-part documentary titled Edyta Górniak. Offering an authentic and compelling portrayal of the singer’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Poland’s most iconic artists, the documentary will premiere exclusively on SkyShowtime on 5 March.
A nuanced and multi-layered story, Edyta Górniak offers a rare and revelatory look at one of the most significant artists in Poland’s music scene. Over two episodes, the documentary invites viewers into the world of an extraordinary artist - a woman whose life combines a spectacular global music career with the everyday realities of being a woman and a mother. Her story reveals the striking contrasts between these two realms, offering a deeper understanding of the fascinating personality behind the girl who rose from her hometown in Ziębice to gracing the world’s music stages.
This is a personal story of feminine strength, courage, forgiveness, love, and the power of hope, and features unique archive material that sheds new light on the artist’s life and offers a new and very personal perspective.
SkyShowtime Original documentary Edyta Górniak is produced by Constantin Entertainment Polska. The producer is Michał Brożonowicz, Agata Chwaszczewska serves as executive producer, and the director is Aleksandra Machnik.
Edyta Górniak is the second Polish documentary production commissioned by SkyShowtime, following the series Krychowiak: One Step from the Top. The service has also announced premieres of other local original productions for 2026, including the gripping action series Morpheus (Morfeusz) and the continuation of the story of the protagonists of Śleboda in the series Pionek (working title).
