Trailer: Here
SkyShowtime today unveiled the gripping trailer for the highly anticipated third season of its Swedish original thriller series Veronika, giving audiences an adrenaline-driven insight into the unfolding high-stakes murder enquiry rocking the foundations of a quiet rural town, as the local speedway club Rospiggarna is suddenly put in the spotlight.
Starring Alexandra Rapaport in the title role, the latest season of the psychological thriller sees Veronika tackle the everyday realities of life alongside her family and detective partner, Nassir (Arvin Kananian). But as the rural community comes under scrutiny and pressure rises in the pursuit of justice, Veronika is forced to push her instincts to the limit and risk everything to help solve the most challenging case of her career.
As she struggles to keep her family together after Tomas' accident, Veronika battles both PTSD and increasingly intense visions. When Nils, the son of speedway rider Tom, goes missing, the entire town of Älvsbruk is thrown into a massive search effort. He is soon found dead, and a complex murder investigation unfolds. Suspicions fall on the speedway team, the local biker gang, and people close to Nils, as hidden conflicts and long-buried secrets begin to surface.
Veronika’s visions become a key to understanding what is truly happening, and the investigation twists in unexpected directions and leads to a shocking revelation that changes everything, culminating in a defining moment that forces Veronika to make a difficult decision – one that will shape her family’s future.
Created and written by Katja Juras and Anna Ströman (Gåsmamman), Veronika is produced by Calle Jansson and Mathias Gruffman at Bigster, with Alexandra Rapaport also serving as Executive Producer.
The first two episodes of season three will premiere exclusively on the platform on 26 March, followed by two episodes per week. All previous seasons of Veronika are available to stream on SkyShowtime, with seasons 2 and 3 exclusively on the platform.
